This is the first police academy movie that is missing Officer Mahoney (Steve Guttenberg). To replace him, they added Matt McCoy (who Seinfeld lovers will recognize as Lloyd Braun) as the nephew of Cmndt. Lassard.

The group travels to Miami Beach to a police convention where Lassard is to be given the Police Officer of the Decade.
Lassard is kidnapped and the film ends with the typical police academy chase and rescue.

It's a mildly entertaining film. It's certainly not the worst in the Police Academy series. If you've seen any of the others, you know what to expect.

One of the better fantasy/adventure movies to come out of the 80's. Warwick Davis (who is also the Leprechaun) is the title character who is faced with the task of delivering a prophesied baby to safety so she can bring about the destruction of the evil queen/sorceress.
I always found the Willow character annoying but enjoy the surrounding cast. The tiny Brownies who accompany him cracked me up and I think it's one of my favorite performances by Val Kilmer as well.
Ranks right up there with my other favorites from that era - The Princess Bride and Ladyhawke.

Great movie loosely based on real-life experiences by the main actors, Jon Favreau, Vince Vaughn, and Ron Livingston when they were struggling actors in LA. The main character, Mike was dumped by his girlfriend of 6 years and his group of friends try to get him back out in the dating world.
A lot of people can relate to the events of the movie. I dare you not to cringe whenever Favreau's character, Mike, makes an attempt to get a date.
Vaughn's character, Trent, will make you laugh but agree with the other characters when they tell him he's an asshole - happens many times.
According to IMDB trivia, the "Bear" speech in the movie is actually something that Vaughn told Favreau at a bar one night and Favreau liked it so much, he included it in the movie.

Lot's of great one-liners in the movie and it's fun to see most of the actors have gone on to do some great shows and movies.

Highly recommended for a good laugh - it's money baby.

Cute musical based on Hollywood during the transition from silent films to "talkies".

Jean Hagen was nominated for an Oscar for her role as Lina Lamont - the successful silent film actress who has a horrid voice and has to be dubbed for the talkies. She did a great job of portraying the spoiled/catty actress.

Debbie Reynolds is adorable as the actress who is forced by contract to be the voice of Lina Lamont.

But best of all was Gene Kelly, who may not be the best actor in the world but can sure dance up a storm. I can watch the singin' in the rain scene over and over.

I waited a long time to watch this one thinking it wouldn't be that great but I was mistaken. If you enjoy older movies or musicals, check this one out.

Elizabeth is one of my all-time favorite films. It has everything a historical drama lover could ask for. Love, betrayal, corruption and beautiful costumes.

Cate Blanchett won a Golden Globe and was nominated for an oscar for her performance as Elizabeth and rightly so. She was very convincing as the young queen who must be powerful and strong on the outside but feels unsure of herself and weak at times behind closed doors.

Geoffrey Rush, of course, was fantastic as Sir Francis Walsingham. I haven't seen a Geoffrey Rush performance, yet, that hasn't been above par. Also, Joseph Fiennes was perfect as the handsome and charming Lord Dudley who may or may not be after crown himself.

Overall, despite some factual flaws, a beautiful film worthy of a spot on my DVD shelf. Bravo!

I actually liked Police Academy 3 better than the 2nd one. They're back at the academy and the original recruits are training the new guys in a competition to save the academy.
The characters play the same types of pranks as in the first film. The addition of Zed and Sweetchuck into the academy is entertaining, if you can put up with Bob Goldthwait that long.
Overall, I wouldn't rent it but might watch it for awhile if it's on tv some sunday afternoon.

Disney has a habit of not knowing when to stop making sequels. In this third installment of the Mighty Ducks franchise, the Ducks all receive scholarships to a snooty private school to play hockey and don't hit it off well with the resident snob varsity team.
It follows the normal mighty ducks formula: they suck, they get a new coach, suck some more, and then perform amazingly well.
Most of the original players are back but don't expect to see much of Emilio Estevez, even though he has top billing.

The Day After Tomorrow is a fun movie to watch only because of the special effects. Kind of cool to see how they portrayed what LA and New York would look like after the major weather portrayed.
However, I'm going to have to disagree with the previous reviewers and say that Dennis Quaid is one of the worst actors I've ever seen! I literally was laughing at him and his eye rolling each time he was on camera.
The story was crap as well.
enough said.

The whole time I was watching this movie, I kept thinking that I had already seen it. Reminded me a lot of Resident Evil, Alien, and maybe one or two others.
Nothing special and The Rock showcased some of the worst acting I've seen him attempt.
The end where they emulate the game is cool and the only memorable thing about the film.

The Last Days is a very powerful documentary focusing on 5 Hungarians who survived the Holocaust and their experiences during that time. You learn about their lives before/during/after time spent in concentration camps at the end of WWII when Hitler was doing his best to eradicate as many Jews as possible.
The most moving part of the film is when the cameras follow the survivors, along with their families, back to the concentration campus for the first time since the end of the war. Words can't begin to describe the feelings that these people and their families went through at that moment when all of those horrible memories hit them.
My recommendation: See it.
